Course policies for Differential Equations 305



Required Texts: Elementary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems, by Boyce and DiPrima, 7th ed.

Homework: Homework will be collected weekly. Some assignments will require the use of a computer. All assignments will be posted on the course webpage.

Tests: There will be two midterm exams.

Final Exam: There will be a two hour comprehensive final exam on Monday, December 13 starting at 8:00 p.m. in EGRA 222.

Grades: Homework will count for 20% of your grade. Each midterm will count for 20%. The final will count for 40%.

Cheating: The minimum penalty for cheating on a test is a grade of F in the course. Your Dean may wish to take further action which could include expulsion. This is a big no no. There may be multiple versions of the tests. You may work together on the homework but the work you turn in should be your own. Copying from a "solutions manual" will be regarded as plagiarism. Computer output should have your name printed on it.
