You will need a basic calculator but you cannot use a graphing calculator.
Test 1 covers sections 1.1 (direction fields) and 2.1-2.6, plus the review problems at the end of Chapter 2.
You should be able to find general and particural solutions the following types differential equations: Linear, Separable, Homogeneous (covert to separable by a substitution), Bernoulli (convert to Linear by a substitution), Exact (and be able to covert to Exact with integrating factor in some cases).
Understand where, what domain, a solution is valid.
There will be word problems.
Be able to handle differential equations with discontinuous coefficient functions.
Be able to sketch solution curves and determine stablity types of equilibrium solutions for autonomous differential equations: y' = F(y).
Be to match direction fields with their differential equations.
