Departmental Calculator Policy: You should have and be able to use a TI-30. If you want to check your calculator skills do the following optional worksheet on the course web page: Calculator Practice Sheet.
Quizzes: There will be occasional in class quizzes. They may or may not be announced ahead of time. They will be averaged in with the homework.
Tests: Tentative test dates are: September 21, October 19 & November 16.
Homework: Homework is due in class most Mondays. No late homework. You may work together on the homework but the work you turn in should be your own. All homework assignments will be on the web page.
Final: Thu., Dec 13 12:50-02:50p.m. in our regular classroom.
Grades: Two homework or quiz grades will be dropped. Your course grade will then be computed as follows: Homework & Quizzes 15%, Tests 60%, Final 25%. (I do not drop the lowest test grade.)
Attendance: Class attendance is required. If you don't collect an assignment when it is returned in class the grade will be changed to zero. You may not pick up other people's assignments for them. To attempt to do so will be treated as equivalent to cheating. To get an absence excused see me in advance, or call or e-mail me ASAP.
Cheating: The minimum penalty for cheating is a grade of F in the course and you may face suspension. There will be multiple versions of the quizzes, tests and final. Solutions manuals are prohibited.
