Calculator Policy: You should have and be able to use a TI-30. Graphing and programable calculators cannot be used on tests or quizzes.
Absolutely no cell phones, tablets or laptops during tests or quizzes.
Homework: Homework is due in class most Mondays. No late homework. You may work together on the homework but the work you turn in should be your own. All homework assignments will be on the web page.
Quizzes: There will be in class quizzes. Some will be "open" meaning you can work with others on them. They will be averaged in with the homework.
Tests: Tentative test dates are: February 17, March 24 & April 28.
Final: Monday, May 8, 2:45-4:45, in our regular classroom.
Grades: Two lowest homework grades are dropped. The lowest quiz grade is dropped. Your course grade will then be computed as follows: Homework & Quizzes 15%, Tests 60%, Final 25%. (I do not drop the lowest test grade.)
Attendance: Class attendance is required. If you don't collect an assignment when it is returned in class the grade will be changed to zero. To get an absence excused see me or e-mail me ASAP.
Cheating: The minimum penalty for cheating is a grade of F in the course and you may face suspension. There will be multiple versions of the quizzes, tests and final.
