Math 530: Topology

Textbook: Introduction to Topology, by James Munkres, 2nd Edition. Amazon

Syllabus: We cover sections 12-37, 41, 48, 51-55. If time permits we will do additional topics from 56-60, 67-78.

Homework is to be done individually, not in groups.
You should discuss and compare you homeworks after you get them back.
Do not search the internet looking for solutions.
I will know if you do this. I will give you an F if you turn in work that is not yours.

Tests: There will be a midterm and a final. The final is scheduled for Friday Decemeber 15, 12:30 pm - 4:30 pm. It is a four hour exam.

Grades: Homework is 30%, midterm is 30%, final is 40%.
